It doesn't always happen

There are days that you spend looking afar where you're standing..

I imagine myself writing this as I was overlooking the streets of Makati avenue.

A few days ago, I had a dream, which I hoped it to be just a dream.

My dad's brother flew back to Manila. I don't know who it was exactly.. just one of his brothers.

Can you imagine not seeing your brother for over 10 years, then finally getting to see him again even for just one day? I can just imagine the great feeling of finally being in touch again after not seeing each other for so long.

But of course the dream came with a twist. Guess what...

The balikbayan brother...? never even bothered to see his brother here in Manila.

Not even a local phone call.. and to think that he had a 7-day duration for his visit.

I cannot see how such a thing could be possible...

...unless perhaps I'm missing something.

Here I am both big and younger brother and make it a point to make time for people who value me, then here comes a instance of an astronomical contradiction.. But of course there is always room for exception. My dad just had a big stroke of bad luck...

of course it was just a dream.. I'm sure it was.

that's not new to me... my brother never calls on a regualr basis and yes, does not even have plans to visit us here. yet, we have a healthy sibling relationship... wala lang. parang nanjan lang siya kahit malayo...
